Need some biblical guidance and encouragement?
For many of us, life can become overwhelming.
It can be full of love, laughter, and excitement! But it can also be full of disappointments, sadness, and fear.
And sometimes, those bad times can throw you for a loop. I get it, because it happens (and has happened) to all of us.
But here are some scriptures that offer God’s promises of guidance, and it is my prayer that these scriptures will encourage and bless you.
Psalm 139: 23-24
“Search me oh God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything that offends you and lead me on the path to everlasting life.”
Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.
Lead me, Lord, in your righteousness because of my enemies— make your way straight before me.
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!
The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him;
In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.
Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you.Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Before You Go I Have This Prayer For You…
Lord, I come to you humble and asking for your guidance. I know that sometimes, I don’t always make the decisions you would be proud of. There are times when I follow my flesh instead of your spirit, my heart instead of your word, and others instead of you. I ask that you give me the strength to turn away from my fleshly desires, temptations, and doubts and turn towards you.
I ask that you search my heart O God, and find the good, find the love I have for you, but also show me everything that is present in my heart that doesn’t represent your spirit. Please draw out the hatred, regret, worry, and fear.
Guide me in my daily walk in your light God. And if I should ever stray, I ask of you like David- please lead me on the path to everlasting life.
I really hope this post has blessed you and if it has let me know in the comments below!
